CHOICES Youth Empowerment Program
The CHOICES Program is designed to empower youth ages 13–25 by providing them with the tools, resources, and skills they need to make positive life choices, overcome obstacles, and transition successfully into adulthood. With a specific focus on homeless and at-risk youth, including those in foster care, economically disadvantaged, or who have experienced trauma and familial instability, the program offers a safe, supportive environment where participants can explore their career options, develop social-emotional skills, and prepare for future employment. Through a blend of group activities, hands-on workshops, mentorship, and career readiness training, CHOICES helps youth build self-esteem, set achievable goals, and develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in life and work. The program works with local businesses and community partners, like Ameren Illinois, to connect youth with employment opportunities and further their career goals.
