An 8-week life skills, emotional resilience, financial literacy, and community leadership series for St. Clair County youth (Ages 13-18   |  Grades 8-12).

CORE CURRICULUM

The 5 Pillars of Teen Resilence

A holistic development model designed to empower your teen mentally, financially, & pracitically.

Therapeutic Resilience

Overcoming imposter syndrome, negative self -talk, and coping tools for anxiety/ ADHD

Practical Life Skills

Laundromat garment care lab, stain chemistry, time-blocking, and living expense planning.

Civic Leadership

Direct community service projects verified on 501(c)(3) letterhead for NHS and graduation

Financial Literacy

Associated Bank teen checking accounts, non-working teen 3-bucket budgeting, and saving goals.

Physical Health

YMCA gym equipment safety, lifting form, nutrition label decoding, and somatic stress release

Choose Your Participation Track

Open to individual teens and youth organizations (like Scouts, BTHS, Collinsville HS, local clubs, etc)

Enrolled Cohort Students

Full 8-week life skills, mental health, and physical wellness experience.

  • Includes all service opportunities listed in Pathway B plus:

  • In-Class Service Hours (Packing Hygiene Kits for Homeless, Laundry Folding Service at local Laundromat, Prep for YMCA Thanksgiving Drive)

  • 2-month YMCA pass + extended $13/mo rate & Free Associated Bank Checking account

  • Master Belleville YMCA Certified Transcript at Graduation

PATHWAY B

Service-Only Participants

For youth groups seeking verified volunteer hours without full class enrollment.

  • Known & Grown STL (Columbus Day 10/12 & Friday shifts)

  • Belleville Parks & Recreactions

  • Local Food Pantry

  • Independent Leadership (i.e. Raking Leaves for Neighbors, Organizing Neighborhood or School Clean up, Collecting Non-Perishables to stock local blessing boxes)

  • Direct 501(c)(3) verification on Celess Helping Hands letterhead
